Cukaricki host Twente in the first leg of the UEFA Europa Conference League third qualifying round at the Cukaricki Stadium on Thursday.
The home side started their Conference League qualifiers last month and were drawn against Racing Club Luxembourg. They won the first leg 4-1 before ending the home defeat with a 4-0 win in the second leg a week later.
Cukaricki was eliminated by Swedish Allsvenskan club Hammarby IF at this stage of last season’s qualifying campaign, missing out on a 3-1 win in the first leg and losing 6-4 on aggregate.
Twente had a solid season under coach Ron Jans last season and will now be fighting for a place in Europe this season. They finished fourth in the Eredivisie standings with 68 points from 34 games, their highest points tally in the top division since the 2010–11 season where they finished second with 71 points.
The visitors last appeared in Europe in the 2012/13 season and made it to the group stage of the UEFA Europa League, where they were unbeaten.
