Damian Priest see’s nothing negative with Tony Khan’s purchase of ROH 

WWE Superstar Damian Priest recently commented on AEW owner Tony Khan’s decision to buy Ring of Honor Wrestling.

Prior to signing for WWE in 2018, Priest worked for ROH for 4 intermittent years under the ring name Punishment Martinez.

Speaking to Wrestling Inc, the former US champion opened up about Khan’s takeover.

“Anytime there’s a different path for the boys and girls, that’s positive,” Priest said. “I obviously still have friends there, so there’s nothing negative about a good place for people to go on with their dreams. that’s A+.” H/T Wrestling Inc

With the surprising news that the 76-year-old owner of WWE was retiring, many were quick to comment on the matter.

During a recent chat with Stugotz on The Dan Le Batard Show, the owner of AEW shared his thoughts on Vince McMahon’s retirement from the business.

“I don’t think I would understate to say that he was one of the most influential figures in American entertainment and whether you consider wrestling a sport or not, I think in the world of sports he was also one of the most influential people . Ask any athlete on the planet and they are all very familiar with his product.” H/T POSTWrestling

Vince’s retirement has sent shockwaves through the wrestling world as McMahon is now gone, his daughter Stephanie and Nick Khan have become the new co-CEOs of WWE, while Triple H also oversees the company’s creative department.
