Darlington’s most dangerous neighborhoods revealed
Statistics from Police England revealed that 10,382 crimes were reported in Darlington in 2022.
However, a breakdown of the numbers by area revealed the 12 neighborhoods where crimes were most frequently committed within the city.

Central Darlington, which covers just the city center, has the highest crime rate with 2,927 crimes committed, while Albert Hill & Red Hall is second with 1,255 crimes committed in 2022.

Statistics from crimerate.co.uk also revealed that violence and sexual offenses were the most commonly reported crimes across the city, followed by anti-social behavior and public order offences.
According to the data, Darlington is the safest major city in County Durham and the 24th most dangerous city overall among County Durham’s 169 towns, villages and towns.
The overall crime rate in Darlington in 2022 was 111 crimes per 1,000 residents.
