Davina McCall confirms her name will be “Love Island for Oldies” The Romance Retreat

The 55-year-old presenter shared a video on Instagram on Thursday, in which she told her followers that she had “manifested” the show, and then asked TV bosses to give her the gig.

In the clip that was uploaded, the former Big Brother host explained: “I made it happen. I wanted there to be a great new adult dating program.

“People who have lived lives, have had experiences, bad, moving, tough, tough lives. They have baggage, but they deserve love.

“And it happens. It’s coming to ITV1 soon and we want to know if you’d like to be a part of it.”

Expanding on the accompanying caption, she wrote, “Oh my god…I manifested and it came true!! I will be hosting a brand new adult dating series for ITV1!!

“This is a show for single parents who have lived a life, have stories to tell about their dating history and deserve another chance at love, and I’m going to help you.”

“Everything takes place in one of the most romantic places in the country!!

“We’re still casting so if you want my help finding love and you have a child who is over 18 what are you waiting for??? (especially u entitled men… where are you?!)”

She closed the post by saying, “Sign up here itv.com/beontv It’s going to be AMAZING!”

ITV first confirmed they were working on a Love Island spin-off aimed at middle-aged singletons in January.

An advert released by the channel read: “ITV1 is recruiting vibrant single parents from across the UK looking for love for a brand new dating show!

“This is the ONLY dating show where single parents can search for love by spending time in a luxurious retreat where all parents have been nominated by their adult children.”

Application deadline is March 31st.
