Dayton advanced to the Atlantic 10 Finals with a 78-68 win over the Fordham Rams. The bottom line is no indication of how this game went as the Rams were right there most of the time and put up a good fight. The win marks the Flyers’ third win in their last four games.
The Flyers visited the Siegel Center in early February and left with a surprising 62-58 win. It’s always hard to win at VCU, especially when you’re not good on the way to the together.
Dayton is the 76th best team in the nation, second in the Atlantic 10 and has a poor 2-7 in their Quad One and Quad Two games this season.
VCU Rams – The clear best of the conference
Staying hot, VCU advanced to the A10 Finals with a 90-78 win over the Saint Louis Billikens. The Rams were solid in both halves and continued to look like the best team in the conference.
Playing at the UD Arena in mid-January, the Rams capitalized on a strong second half and earned a rare victory on the road in Dayton. This was the statement game for many in the A10.
VCU ranks 61stSt best team in the nation and are only 4-5 in their Q1 and Q2 opportunities this year. The Rams would be 12 seeded if they won Sunday’s A10 tournament.
