“Declare January 15th “Virat Kohli Day””

Virat Kohli started the three-game ODI streak against Sri Lanka with a hundred and ended it with another triple-digit score in Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday. The former Indian captain now has three ODI hundreds in four innings and is just three shy of the great Sachin Tendulkar’s record of 49 ODI hundreds.
What was even more incredible was the way Kohli accelerated after hitting his hundreds. The 34-year-old landed an impressive 166* (110), which is also his second-highest ODI score.
Fans on Twitter were thrilled to see Virat Kohli show off his vintage form with hundreds in a cluster. The big man now has three ODI hundreds and a Test hundred on Jan. 15, which is a pretty ridiculous tally.
Here are some of the reactions:
Hard times seem to be over for Virat Kohli
Not many thought they would see Peak Kohli again as he hadn’t scored an international hundred in almost three years. But the 2022 Asia Cup hundreds changed everything for Kohli as he simply hasn’t looked back in white ball cricket since.
Kohli ended 2022 with a fine hundred against Bangladesh and started 2023 with another in Guwahati. But this one proved today that he is showing shades of his best vintage, which is a huge plus for India in an ODI World Cup year.
With a crucial Test series against Australia also still to come, Kohli could not have found better form.
