Dierks Bentley Drops New Music Video For Hopeful Single, “Gold”

Dierk’s Bentley just released a brand new music video for his song “Gold.”

It’s all about gratitude, presence and living in the moment, even when it feels like your world has gone haywire, it’s the lead single from his 10th full-length album, due out next year.

Written in 2020, at a time when there was so much uncertainty about the future due to the COVID pandemic, Bentley really puts things into perspective with this upbeat track, and according to the man himself, the single sets the tone for the upcoming album .

He explained:

“2020 was a chance for me to give my guitar and the road a little rest. It gave me the opportunity to spend a lot more time outdoors with family and friends, but also by myself.

It also gave me time to reset and reignite my love of country music and many types of songs and sounds that I fell in love with when I first came to Nashville. I think you hear that in that first track, but it carries through the whole album.”

Directed by Wes Edwards, the video was shot in the state of Tennessee and reaffirms Bentley’s admiration for nature.

He’s also backed by his real life six-string touring ensemble including the awesome Charlie Worsham, also fun in the video.

Dierks says he wanted to show the upbeat nature of the song, and this video definitely brings that to the fore:

“The treatment for this music video almost wrote itself. “Gold” is an optimistic reality check.

I think we all struggle with getting through the rocky parts of life and moving on to the next thing, but there are many special moments to cherish even in the midst of the tough times.”
