We are now hearing “disturbing” new details about Mystikal’s recent sexual assault allegations that led to his arrest over the weekend.
This was reported by the investigation department of the WBRZ on the details, which they described as “troubling” after combing through documents linked to the rapper’s arrest on multiple charges, including first-degree rape and false imprisonment.
Mystikal, whose real name is Michael Tyler, has been charged with sexual assault twice in the past two decades, and new charges stem from an incident that reportedly happened at his home in Prairieville over the weekend.
The 52-year-old rapper has been in custody since Monday afternoon according to WBRZ.
I would like to warn you that the following details may be descriptive or disturbing for some to read.
According to the warrant, the incident happened last Saturday and involved “an acquaintance who was visiting Mystikal’s home in Prairieville.”
Documents obtained by WBRZ’s investigative unit say Tyler was very violent towards the woman – he beat her, choked her and pulled her hair before taking her keys and phone to “hang her on the preventing her from leaving” after he accused her of stealing money.
The female victim told police she tried to find the money hoping it would calm Tyler down, but things escalated from there, including her discovery of a substance officers suspected was meth. Tyler went back and forth between two wildly different moods, according to victims.
One moment he berated her about the lack of money and the next he became “very apologetic” and asked her to pray with him.
The woman said Tyler then asked if he could “feel” her. She declined.
When she refused, the victim was pushed onto a bed and violently raped.
Things only got more bizarre from there when documents say Tyler again demanded the missing $100 and gave the woman her phone back and asked her to pay him through CashApp.
While she was setting up the payment, Tyler reportedly took the phone back, entered the $150 amount, and mailed the payment to herself.
The victim then got her phone back and was allowed out of the Tyler home in Prairieville. On her way from the neighborhood, she called a friend and a meeting was set up at a local hospital in Baton Rouge. When she arrived at the hospital, authorities were able to use a sexual assault kit to determine that her injuries “consistent with her description of the assault.”
Tyler previously served six years in prison stemming from a 2004 arrest on similar charges. In this case, Tyler was serving time for sexually assaulting his barber. After his release from prison, the rapper was registered as a sex offender.
In 2017, Tyler turned himself in to police after learning he had a warrant out for his arrest for an alleged assault that reportedly took place at a Shreveport casino — but those charges were eventually dropped and Tyler was found guilty released from prison on $3 million bail.
According to WBRZ Tyler’s full list of charges includes first-degree rape, false imprisonment, domestic assault (strangulation), simple robbery, and simple criminal damage.
