Dominic Raab will step down in the next election

Ominic Raab, who resigned from the cabinet last month following a bullying probe, will step down in the next general election.
The former deputy prime minister and justice minister confirmed his exit plans to the PA news agency on Monday night.
He resigned from Rishi Sunak’s cabinet last month over allegations of bullying by officials.
An independent investigation by Adam Tolley KC found that he had acted intimidating and aggressive towards officers, which could have amounted to bullying.
Mr Raab will not take up his seat at Esher and Walton, which he has held since 2010, at the next election in January 2025.
The Surrey constituency, which Mr Raab won by just 2,743 votes in the 2019 election, is a key target for the Liberal Democrats.
He joins a string of senior Tories, including former Chancellor Sajid Javid and former Environment Secretary George Eustice, in announcing their exit plans amid a polling dip.
The 30 Tories to resign from the House of Commons also include former Health Secretary Matt Hancock, who was a Conservative until he lost the whip for his “I’m A Celebrity” performance, and Dehenna Davison, who is a rising star in the Tory party applies.
