Former President Donald Trump is often criticized by commentators who have accused him of “putting down”.
The term refers to when a powerful person attacks or confronts less powerful people. For liberals, Trump is “slamming down” just for defending himself by offering candid criticism of other celebrities and politicians who challenge him.
In a statement released Friday, Trump made disparaging remarks about E. Jean Carroll, an author and former columnist who sued Trump for defamation after he dismissed her charges of raping her in a New York department store in the mid-1990s.
Criticism by world leader and billionaire Trump directed at such a little-known figure can be seen as a “clap down,” even if it’s aimed at a woman who has made horrific allegations against him. The mainstream media certainly portrays it that way.
But in the same statement, Trump also landed a harsh but accurate assessment of Joe Biden that, in one sentence, cast serious doubts on Biden’s ability and authority.
Biden has big problems: Sarah Huckabee Sanders makes a strong statement as governor
2019 Carol published a book in which she described the alleged rape. When Trump denied the story, stating that Carroll “totally lied,” Carroll sued him for defamation.
Then in November, when CNN reported, Carroll is suing Trump a second time for assault under the Adult Survivors Act. The law of the state of New York, signed in Mayestablished a one-year “hindsight window” for alleged sexual assault victims to sue alleged perpetrators, even after the statute of limitations has expired.
A September court ruling ruled that Carroll could not personally sue Trump for actions he took during his presidency.
wealth notes that the judge in the case who approved the unsealing of the record over objections from Trump’s attorney is Bill Clinton-appointed Lewis Kaplan. The same judge was tasked with the mega-scandal of Sam Bankman-Fried, the former CEO of collapsed cryptocurrency giant FTX and a big donor to Democratic politicians.

According to Fortune, Lewis previously directed sex abuse cases involving Kevin Spacey and Prince Andrew.
The Unsealed filing in Trump’s case was from December. In it, Trump makes his opinion of Carroll clear when he describes her on the site as a “wack job” and “sick, insane.”
Beginning on page 132 of the affidavit, an attorney read an October 12, 2022 message Trump posted to the social media platform Truth Social, full of powerful content in which he railed against the allegations, harassment, and corruption that Trump Carroll must continue to endure legal system, politicians and media.
“Great statement, yes. Right, right,” Trump replied to a question. “I wrote everything myself. Just me.”
When attorney Trump pressed on page 134 if he needed to discuss the testimony with anyone, Trump declared, “No. I did not have to. I’m not Joe Biden.”
In that dig, Trump voiced what many believe: that Joe Biden is incompetent, he doesn’t have the skills to be president, and he’s not really the one in charge of his own government.
Biden keeps acting like he doesn’t know what he’s saying or doing.
Recent embarrassments for Biden include forgetting the name of Martin Luther King III’s wife while he tried to sing her “Happy Birthday” at an MLK breakfast, confusing the Salvation Army with the Secret Service, forgetting the date of the Capitol invasion January 6th and lies the events around him.
Having such an obvious puppet in the role of Chief Executive of the United States has destabilized the world. The statement released last week shows Trump has the courage to address the reality of the situation and loudly acknowledge under oath what so many are thinking.
Even when Trump criticizes Biden, the man who was promoted to the presidency of the United States, “he still slams it”.
