Doordash driver Robert Jackson III was making a delivery while driving the 8 miles from Detroit when he made a shocking sighting: There was a toddler walking around in the middle of winter wearing only diapers and socks.
He told Fox2Detroit every chilling detail.
He was standing in the middle of Eight Mile. (he) was shaking, his hands and lips were purple and his fingers were purple

“Oh my god, this is just awful. This is awful. I’ve never seen anything like it in my life,” Jackson could be heard saying as he recorded video of the incident.
Since the child was only two years old, he was unable to give Jackson any details.
“A baby – yes man, I know. You can’t ask him who his mom is. He can’t talk,” Jackson said. “Look, he has no shoes.”
How a Delivery Driver and Father Saved a Child in Peril
He wrapped the frozen boy in a coat and put him in his car to warm up. He also managed to wave another driver down and have him call 911.
The boy was taken to Children’s Hospital, where he was later examined without serious injuries, making this story a real hit!
Detroit police were able to track down the child’s identity and found that he left his family’s home, less than a block from where Jackson found him, unnoticed by the babysitter.
Jackson is just happy about a good deed.
It feels good that I was there – I don’t know how to explain it

Protect children at all costs
According to Safeatlast, a staggering 2,300 children are reported missing in the US every day and around 8 million worldwide – some frightening numbers for any parent.
It also refutes those who criticize overprotective parents. In just a few seconds, an infant went from protected to trembling. You can also bet the babysitter will be a lot harder next time…if there is a next time. Meanwhile, Jackson showed how to focus when it matters most.
It also reminds us that sometimes ordinary people like Robert Jackson III notice a child in danger. If we do, like Jackson, we should protect them as one of us. Sometimes being protective can keep a child from becoming a number, which is the motivation needed.
