A golf cart The driver, who was allegedly drunk while taking his teenage passenger for a spin, has been charged with manslaughter after the girl fell from the passenger seat and died in it North Carolina.

She was taken to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead the next day.
Police said several people were drinking and driving the cart at the time. Gaston Gazette reported.
What if Gabby had been drinking too?
It was unclear if Carrigan was also allegedly drinking when she fell off the golf cart. What is surprising about Gabby being out to some extent due to drunkenness? And did the public prosecutor’s office go too far when they brought criminal charges against the young driver?
Next Tuesday, Helms was charged with involuntary manslaughter. Helms was also charged with driving under the influence, aggravated assault by a vehicle and reckless driving, and underage drinking.
Remarkably, Helms was indicted reckless driving, drunk driving and an open container in other independent episodes WBTV reported.
Records from prison show he is being held Gaston County Jail on a $300,000 bond.
Carrigan’s uncle Jordan created one GoFundMe while fighting for her life to raise money for medical expenses before the teenage girl died.
At the time of publication on Wednesday afternoon, the fundraiser had raised over $9,256.
“Gabby always lit up the room with her smile, she is missed but never forgotten.” said one person who donated.
Gabby was a 2022 graduate East Gaston High School and enrolled at Gaston Community College where, according to her obituary, she had studied physical therapy.
“Gabby had such a wild and free loving spirit. She always had a smile for everyone and would brighten up a room. she obituaries. “Gabby was a kind and loving person who took your shirt off her back and continued to donate organs even in death.”
