I firmly believe that people can do whatever they want because at the end of the day, they are the ones paying the price.
Like those adrenaline junkies who jump cliffs, hang themselves from buildings, etc…
You know, as long as you accept the fact that you could send yourself to the afterlife, hey, absolutely.
Of course I could never do that because I almost have a heart attack looking out the window of a tall building, but hey, you do.
However, I’m not sure I could ever tolerate that kind of movement with your damn KIDS SITTING ON THE RIGHT BEHIND THEM.
In this video you can see a father step over a hanging ledge atop Yosemite National Park’s iconic Half Dome and perch just a few feet from the tiny ledge and gaze at the hundreds of feet between him and his deathbed.
And the worst?
His little boy was sitting right behind him, just a few yards from the edge.
You can hear one of them say:
“What if you fall off dad?”
Well, kid…your dad’s gonna break up.
He replied to the video in the caption:
“No Half Dome summit is complete without dangling your feet. From this vantage point you can see the Thank God ledge. Years ago I climbed the regular route and it took 2.5 days.
It would be so great to do the route again with my kids in the future. Hopefully we’ll be going there this fall with some smaller multi-pitch climbs.”
I literally get sick just looking at it, but hey, you do, dad
