“Concerns about electoral integrity and security and perceived unfair regional distribution of seats remain the top two reasons, followed by concerns about foreign Chinese interference, which is a new finding,” the pollsters’ report said.
“While a large majority of voters, 78%, generally believe that Elections Canada conducts federal elections fairly, that share has fallen significantly from 81% in 2022.”
The survey, which Elections Canada paid Leger Marketing $81,622 to conduct, comes from 2,505 people surveyed across Canada in the first week of March.
