A man’s best buddy is undoubtedly a devoted dog. In this remarkable story, this furry family member even saved the life of its owner, Harry Smith, while out for a walk. Harry’s electric wheelchair takes him to a lake in an unusual turn of events, but his devoted dog saves the day.

“She’s a wonderful pup.” “Everyone in this neighborhood adores her and keeps an eye on her,” Harry explained. Thank goodness she’s a boss dog because she stepped in to help Harry when he needed it most.

When Harry’s wheelchair got stuck in the mulch while taking Sarah Jane on her routine tour of the neighborhood, the two became separated. When he lost traction and slid down the side of an embankment near the lake, he realized he was in serious trouble. The next thing Harry knew he was underwater and upside down.

Sarah Jane sensed that her owner’s life was in danger. The devoted dog barked wildly and splashed around in the water to attract everyone and everyone’s attention. And thank God for that. Edward Suhling, Aby “Jacob” Chacko, was drawn to her constant barking and squirting.

They initially believed the beagle-hound mix was in danger. They assumed she was being attacked by alligators that occasionally visit the lake. Upon closer inspection, however, the couple noticed Harry’s head just above the water, his wheelchair tipping over. As they ran to save their neighbor from drowning, Edward and Aby stopped a neighboring police officer.

Edward explained, “The dog was splashing in the water.” “So we both ran over here and I dove in the water and my mate grabbed his arms and I grabbed his legs and we pulled him to shore.”

“As soon as I saw the wheelchair and the dog, I knew it was Harry and I knew he couldn’t walk,” Aby explained.

When the three men pulled Harry out of the water and checked him for injuries, they were surprised to find that he was just soaked and agitated. This incident might have ended horribly if Harry’s devoted dog hadn’t done everything she could to tense up her inner Lassie and save the day.

Everyone was hailing Sarah Jane as a hero before the police hustled Harry home. Harry explained, “I gave her a treat.” “I’ve always loved her and always will.”

It’s remarkable how God makes sure we have everything we need in this life. Even before we ask, he knows what we need. For Harry, it’s his beloved boss dog, Sarah Jane. She brings him joy, companionship, and even saves his life because of her loyalty and devotion to her own. May we all give our furry family members extra treats and cuddles in honor of their friendship.
