Emotional Lucas Moura confirms Tottenham exit as the Brazilian reflects on five years in north London

Ottenham have confirmed that Lucas Moura will leave the club at the end of the current season.
The 30-year-old joined Spurs from PSG in 2018 and has scored 38 goals in his 219 appearances, three of them in an impressive comeback win over Ajax that sent Tottenham into the 2019 Champions League final.
Moura’s contract in north London expires in the summer and he will leave as a free agent once it expires to complete his five-year tenure at the club.
The Brazilian has played just 120 minutes of Premier League football this season, all of which has been spent on the bench, but he is hoping to play a role in Tottenham’s final two games of the season.
Ryan Mason’s side host Brentford this weekend before taking on Leeds on the final day of the season to finish seventh and secure a place in the Europa Conference League.
“Hard to speak, I have to hold back tears,” Moura told Sky Sports.
“It’s been five years, an incredible time and I don’t want to think about the last game. Playing for Spurs was a gift, a great adventure for me and I really enjoyed it.
“It’s always sad to say goodbye, especially when you love the piece you are. You love the people you work with. It’s very difficult, but it’s part of the process.
“Great memories, great moments that I will keep in my heart forever.”
