Employee is shot in the back by robbery suspect, but pulls out a gun and lands a fatal shot

An incident in Connecticut shows how the Second Amendment makes the nation more secure by allowing people to defend themselves against criminals.
According to local outlet WVIT TVAround 10:30 p.m. Thursday, two people wearing black ski masks entered a clothing store in East Hartford
After a brief struggle, one of the suspects pulled out a gun and shot the shopkeeper in the back. The owner then drew his own gun and returned fire, reportedly hitting the suspect multiple times.
When police arrived, they took both the owner and the suspect to a hospital, where the suspect later died.
The shopkeeper is recovering from non-life-threatening injuries, WVIT reported.

Maxine Waters denies being a socialist, but then Chip Roy quotes her own words right to her face
The other suspect fled during the fight and remains at large.
This story is another example of how important the right to own and bear arms is to providing Americans with the means of self-defense.
Imagine if this shopkeeper didn’t have a gun. He had already been shot in the back and the suspect could have shot him again or even killed him.
Is the Second Amendment under attack?
But because the shopkeeper had his own guns, he was able to stop the robber and save his own life in the process.
We’ve seen time and time again what happens when suspected criminals meet law-abiding and trained gun owners. Often their crimes are stopped immediately.
For example, a few weeks ago in Arizona, a would-be gunman was shot dead at a Chevron station when a gunman used a distraction to shoot the suspect.
Stories like these serve as lessons for other would-be criminals and warn them of the possible consequences of their actions. So, yes, the Second Amendment is effective in stopping crime and saving lives.
In contrast, we have seen time and time again that anti-gun laws passed in the name of fighting violent crime do absolutely nothing to stop crime.
Many of the left-led cities and states that have enacted tough anti-gun laws have some of the highest crime rates in the country, as criminals can circumvent those laws and citizens have no means of defending themselves.
In Illinois, for example, all of the tough anti-gun laws didn’t stop a criminal from committing a mass shooting in Highland Park outside Chicago last summer.
If we are to stop crime in this country, we must defend the Second Amendment and give citizens the tools they need to defend themselves against violent criminals.
This is one of the few things that actually deters criminals from committing violent crimes.
