Enzo Amore speaks honestly about his ex-girlfriend Liv Morgan in WWE

Enzo Amore recently recalled helping Liv Morgan to a WWE tryout early in her career.

Morgan worked at Hooters before joining WWE in 2014. Amore, a manager at the restaurant, learned of the current SmackDown Women’s Champion’s interest in wrestling. They got together and both worked for WWE.

On the LIVE and IN COLOR with Wolfie D podcast, Amore spoke about his past relationship with Morgan:

“The girl I got a job for in WWE, my ex, is now their champion Liv Morgan. I ran the Hooters she worked for. I went to get food for Christmas and saw her and asked about her. They said she wanted to be a wrestler, we met and then I got her a trial, she was signed and I dated her. Now she is the champion.”

Amore believes his own story of becoming a WWE Superstar after working at Hooters is worth telling in a movie. The 35-year-old added that he was “super happy” to see his ex-girlfriend’s success:

“If it’s not my movie, then maybe it’s your friggin’ movie, guys,” Amore continued. “Tell her story. Holy shit, that’s the best story they’ve written. PS Super happy for the girl. I didn’t want to mention them here. She’s the champion now and our life was a fairy tale. Neither of us ever fought, we both came from the same gym, DeFranco’s gym, where we just lifted weights and worked out and got in the ring.”

Amore was part of one of WWE’s most popular tag teams alongside Big Cass between 2013 and 2017. He also won the Cruiserweight Championship twice before being released in 2018.

Liv Morgan’s next WWE opponent has been confirmed

Ronda Rousey defeated Lacey Evans, Natalya, Sonya Deville and Xia Li in a fatal five-way elimination match on the September 9 episode of SmackDown.

The Baddest Woman on the Planet will challenge Liv Morgan for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at Extreme Rules on October 8th. It was confirmed on the final episode of SmackDown that the match will have an Extreme Rules condition.

Morgan previously defeated Rousey at Money in the Bank and SummerSlam.
