Welcome to another installment of the exclusive WWE News Roundup, as we bring you the most exciting exclusive news and updates from SportsKeeda. In today’s issue we take a look at some of the interesting topics surrounding big names like Roman Reigns, Drew McIntyre and Hulk Hogan.

Drew McIntyre won his match against Sheamus on SmackDown last week to become the number one contender for the WWE Universal Title. He now faces Roman Reigns in Clash at the Castle. Though The Scottish Warrior has proven his skill time and time again, Hall of Famer Road Dogg believes he wouldn’t have made it in the Attitude era:

WWE Hall of Famer Road Dogg, aka Brian James, spoke about Drew McIntyre at SportsKeeda’s Wrestling Outlaws. James was asked if he thought McIntyre would have become an even bigger star during the Attitude era. To which James replied that The Scottish Warrior didn’t have it and wouldn’t have been a top star in the late ’90s like he is today.

“Look, he doesn’t have enough ‘it’. He’s a tall guy who can walk and he sounds like a handsome tall man – and he looks like it, by the way. It was different in the Attitude Era. When you ripped the curtain on a Monday Night RAW in the Attitude Era, you were on a different level,” said James

He admitted that while the former WWE Champion has improved a lot over the years, the Attitude Era was special. However, Vince Russo countered James, stating that the Scot would have thrived in any era, particularly because of his looks.

2) Damian Priest on why Roman Reigns or Brock Lesnar didn’t meet him in WWE

Former US Champion Damian Priest recently spoke to SportsKeeda about his status in WWE and who he would like to face. The Judgment Day member said he would like to face off against Brock Lesnar as the two would have a “fight”. He also opened up about why The Big Dog Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar never faced him.

“I don’t think they’re necessarily scared, but I don’t know, maybe there’s something like, ‘We don’t have to go that route yet.’ And there could be a reason for that,” Damian Priest said.

Priest has teamed up with fellow stable member Finn Balor to take on The Mysterios at SummerSlam. He lost the match because his former mentor Edge returned and demanded revenge on Balor and Priest who brutally attacked him at RAW a few weeks ago.

WWE Legend Jimmy Hart revealed that Hulk Hogan was a big supporter of Booker T and Stevie Ray in WCW. Speaking to SportsKeeda, the WWE Legend revealed The Hulkster personally went to Eric Bischoff and told him to push Harlem Heat because he was so impressed.

“They were so important. They were so good, and I remember Hulk saying to me once, ‘Man, I like that Harlem Heat; those kids are good.’ I think he went to Eric and told Eric, “Harlem Heat should be the next team that you should push,” Hart said

Jimmy Hart is one of Hulk Hogan’s closest friends, who also served as screen manager. He also praised Booker T and his brother Stevie Ray, saying the two men have never turned down bookings and are always ready and eager to get more work.
