Miller is accused of stealing bottles of alcohol from an unoccupied residence in Stamford, Vermont in May. According to Deadline, after an investigation, Vermont state police found probable cause to charge Miller with breaking into an unoccupied apartment. vf‘s Julie Miller wrote that she was told about the incident by Miller’s rep, that the actor was “cooking with her mother, needed rice wine and fetching this and another bottle of wine from the house of a close childhood friend. The rep says Miller didn’t realize the friend didn’t want to be friends anymore.”

Miller’s next hearing in the case is scheduled for Jan. 13, according to the Associated Press. In August, Miller issued a statement about her mental health diversity: “Having recently gone through a period of intense crisis, I now understand that I suffer from complex mental health issues and have begun ongoing treatment. I would like to apologize to anyone I have alarmed and upset with my past behavior. I am committed to doing the work necessary to return me to a healthy, safe and productive phase in my life.”
