• We see Alex struggling to figure out where to go on her first day at work. In her confusion, we meet Clay Bishop, who helps her point her in the right direction.
• Alex and Clay are quite in love with each other until he infuriates her by trying to force her to open up to things.
• In order to solve the case, Mike sets out to collect evidence. However, he encounters an old enemy who tells everyone in the office not to help him.
• Mike pays a visit to Gabriel, who doesn’t take the visit so kindly.
• We find out that Alex’s neighbor saw Emmy Dan the night he threatened Alex at her apartment.
• Detective Earl arrives at Alex’s apartment to find blood and a missing Alex.
• Because of this, he visits Dan and asks if he knows who Alex is. Of course, he raises her as a crazy stalker and has never been inside her house. However, Earl brings up the fact that his fingerprints are all over her apartment.
• Before leaving, he tells Dan that he will find her body and lock him up.
• We see Dan’s boss telling him he’s done. He then goes to the lawyer he thought would help him, but she refuses.
• Beth’s father refuses to give Ellen and Dan money for a lawyer.
• Ellen’s school friend tells her that the professor broke up with her. Later that evening, while they are having a drink, she asks Ellen about her father and his alibi. She gets very defensive and leaves.
• Mike and Dan find today’s Clay Bishop and he tells them about his experiences with Alex. Dan asked why he didn’t help as this is what his case needs. Clay tells them that he showed up for his court hearing every day and couldn’t believe how they beat up Alex.
• Mike mentions to Earl that the fingerprints of the person who disappeared for murder in another case were all over Alex’s apartment.
• Ellen called her mother to discuss what her friend had said. Her mother reminded her that Dan provided his alibi for her so she would not perjure herself on the witness stand.
• Ellen sees her friend meet up with her professor again, even though he said he broke it off.
• Dan is attacked by a man who we learn was looking for Mike because he was visiting his girlfriend earlier in the day.
• In the past we see the moment when the police showed up to arrest Dan.
