Flight attendants have revealed the small items they take with them on trips that make their lives a lot easier.
Knowing what to take on holiday and what to leave behind is something that experienced people are better at.
And few people have more travel experience than the flight attendants who fly into the skies most days for work.
In a thread on Reddit, a budding cabin crew member reached out to veteran colleagues and asked what they take with them on all their travels.
They asked: “I’m curious what item or items you take with you when you fly, whether it’s for a job, leisure or something you just find useful to have with you.
“Bonus Questions: What product(s) would you recommend to a new FA?
Some of the answers were predictable, like power banks and phone chargers, but others were much more interesting and unusual.
One explained that they never fly without a tube of superglue in case they need a quick fix along the way.
They wrote: “I always use superglue.
“It’s far more durable and useful than you’d expect.
“I glued the entire sole back onto a shoe and it lasted the rest of a trip in a salty, snowy Canadian winter.”
Many of the other suggestions, perhaps unsurprisingly, related to food, with home comfort being important when on the go.
One recommended packing tea bags, which is never a bad idea for Brits who want access to their favorite brands abroad.
They said it helps if they get cold too, adding, “I always get cold in the galley.”
Finally, the new flight attendant was told to pack her condiments of choice to make her food taste better during the trip.
The recommending cabin crew said, “Hot sauce. Makes all food better.”
In the meantime, this flight attendant is following these five packing tips to make vacation prep a whole lot easier.
And this member of the cabin crew explained why a Ziploc bag is at the top of their list of travel essentials.
