The housekeeper told police when she arrived at the house she was greeted by Corrado, who was said to be covered in blood. According to Fox News, he led the housekeeper to his grandmother’s body in a bedroom.
Authorities said the housekeeper told Corrado she needed to get cleaning supplies from her car, and once outside, she drove the vehicle away and stopped a nearby officer in his squad car.
Officers said they found the dead woman and Corrado’s grandfather with head injuries. He was flown to a nearby hospital in a helicopter.

“This individual is in our custody thanks to the quick response of officers and the quick-thinking[housekeeper]who was able to extricate herself from the home and alerted law enforcement,” Sheriff Kevin Rambosk said in a release.
The Collier County Sheriff’s Office said the elderly couple has obtained a restraining order against their grandson.
Police say Corrado was released from prison last year after violating his parole terms and had a long history — including possession of amphetamines and heroin and a hit-and-run accident — dating back to the age of 23 .
