Former NASCAR Driver Danica Patrick Reels In A 50-Pound Halibut Fishing Off The Coast Of Alaska

We all know Daniela Patrick as the most successful woman in American open-wheel racing history and won the 2008 Indy Japan 300, the only IndyCar race won by a woman in the history of the sport.
Not to mention that she also has 7 top 10 finishes in the NASCAR Xfinity Series as well as 7 top 10 finishes in the NASCAR Cup Series, the most women in the history of the sport.
Though she hasn’t gotten behind the wheel of a NASCAR race since the 2018 Daytona 500, she seems to have spent her free time elsewhere…
Like on the water.
Taking to Instagram to show off her cute 51-pound halibut she reeled in while fishing off the coast of Alaska, she also shared a new fact she’d learned about halibut, commenting:
“Did you know that halibut initially has eyes on both sides but moves to one side and swims on the seabed on its side? Neither do I.
Caught a 51lb Halibut! I even have a special hat – 50+ LB Club.”
Now it’s uncertain exactly where she caught the halibut, but she’s been spending some time in Alaska the past few days, flying, fishing, hiking, and more a lot.
