A former NFL player is fighting for his life after a tragic accident.

Despite previous reports that Mike Williams died after a tragic accident at the construction site, the former NFL player is alive and on life support in Tampa, Florida.

Tierney Lyle, the mother of Williams’ daughter said the Tampa Bay Times that the former wide receiver “is still alive and remains in the hospital on life support” after his visit on Wednesday.

“They were waiting for me and (his daughter). We’re here, still trying to figure it out,” she told the Times.

“He was sleeping when we went in and he woke up when he heard our voices and his daughter’s. And he looked around, blinking and weeping, but he couldn’t move.”

Lyle also confirmed that the plan was to remove Williams from life support at some point, but that did not happen.
