Four firefighters tackled a serious caravan fire on Flaxley Road in Selby

North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said the four crews from Selby, Tadcaster, York and Snaith, along with the turntable ladder from Huntington, were called to a fire at around 9.25am involving a caravan used as a permanent residence in the area Flaxley Road in Selby served am today (September 13th).

A fire department spokesman said: “This resulted in severe fire, heat and smoke damage to the entire caravan and its contents.”

“Emergency crews used six breathing apparatus, three hose reel nozzles, two thermal imaging cameras, various ladders and small tools to extinguish the flames.

“The cause is believed to be coincidental.”
