Gabby Petito Showed Signs That She ‘Feared Attack’ from Brian Laundrie in Last Surveillance Vid

Newly released surveillance camera footage shows the killing of victim Gabby Petito and her confessed killer Brian Laundrie shortly before Petito’s death, and may offer a glimpse of a sensational murder that caught the nation’s attention.

The video – taken on the last day Petito was known to be alive – was obtained by Fox News.

On August 27, 2021, footage from Jackson, Wyoming, Petito and Laundrie exits a white van and enters a Whole Foods grocery store.

They later exit and get back in the vehicle, turning towards a freeway leading to the eventual location where Petito’s body was found.

The officer asks the school not to unlock doors to gunmen, but the deputy principal did the unthinkable

The Bridger-Teton National Forest campground where Petito’s remains were found two months later is 30 miles north of Jackson, according to Fox News.

Though the footage appears harmless enough, one body language expert points out what she calls red flags in the footage.

“It’s very clear that she’s scared and is closing herself off to him,” body language expert Patti Wood told the US Sun of Petito’s behavior in the security camera footage.

“As soon as they are seen walking towards the door, you notice something very unusual,” Wood said, referring to the 2-minute mark in the video.

Was there any sign of danger in this footage?

“She also walks with her legs extremely close together, which could indicate fear of being attacked.”

Wood told the Sun that Petito and Laundrie don’t look like your average young couple in the shots.

“One of the most intimate things you can do with your partner is go grocery shopping with them,” she said.

According to Wood, their distance indicates interpersonal conflict.

“They’re not in the store together, even though there’s only the two of them on this trip,” Wood told The Sun. “One would think that they want to make decisions together.”

The Mississippi State University football player dies suddenly at the age of 18, just two days before his birthday

After exiting the store, Petito and Laundrie sit in the van for about 20 minutes before exiting the Whole Foods parking lot.

Laundrie had argued with staff at a Jackson restaurant earlier that same day, Fox said.

The exact time of Petito’s death is unknown, but it’s possible that Laundrie killed his girlfriend hours after the Whole Foods footage was shot.

Laundrie, 23, described in a document the FBI produced as his confession how he strangled 22-year-old Petito.

The handwritten note confessing to Petito’s murder was found in the area of Laundrie’s body at Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park in Sarasota County, Florida, in October 2021, according to Fox News.

Laundrie’s death was ruled a suicide.

Laundrie became a person of interest in Petitio’s disappearance after the Florida man returned home from an overland van trip without his girlfriend.

He went missing as law enforcement investigations into Petitio’s disappearance intensified and Florida authorities began an extensive manhunt to Laundrie in the conservation area, where his remains were eventually found.

The Petito family continues legal battles against the Laundrie family following the deaths of both, accusing Laundrie’s parents of involvement in assisting their son in obstructing law enforcement.
