Gary Neville will be keynote speaker at the Sunderland Business Festival

The conversation with the former Manchester United and England full-back will be part of the three-day festival, which includes a program of business events, meetings and seminars taking place across the city.

Neville will discuss his business career and how the leadership skills that led him to captain one of the biggest clubs in the world helped him become one of Britain’s best-known businessmen.

After an illustrious 20-year career, he works for Sky Sports as one of the country’s most popular pundits – and a hugely successful businessman.

After starting out as a property developer in his early 20s while playing for United, Gary has continued his entrepreneurial passion and built a business empire with a portfolio spanning property, hospitality, education, media and sport.

His Stock Exchange Hotel is one of the top hotels in Manchester; his university (UA92) breaks a traditional model; its £400m St Michael’s project is one of Manchester city center’s landmark property developments; and he will appear as a guest star on the upcoming series Dragons’ Den.

Now in its third year running, the Sunderland Business Festival aims to inspire businesses from across the region with a variety of exciting speeches and sessions from high-profile business leaders. The event will take place from October 10th to 12th at venues across Sunderland, including AFC Sunderland, and will provide a unique insight when Chief Operating Officer Steve Davison and Sporting Director Kristjaan Speakman will be at the Stadium of on Tuesday October 10th Light host a talk-in.

“In Conversation with Gary Neville” will take place on Wednesday, October 11, at 10:30 a.m. in the Fire Station Auditorium. It is part of a day sponsored by the University of Sunderland.
