Godfather of Harlem is back on the newly renamed MGM+ for another season of crime drama shenanigans mixed with real historical events. After the end of the previous season, the third picks up in added time Harlem riotswith both the city and Bumpy Johnson trying to rebuild after this landmark action in American civil rights.

Here’s what happened The Godfather of Harlem Season 3 Episode 3:

• Jose hired Bumpy to murder a man he claimed was one of Castro’s lieutenants who arranged his family’s execution. Bumpy later found out the man was a journalist and that Battle gets his guns from the CIA, an arrangement he doesn’t exactly like.
• Stella remains under Joe Colombo’s protection and she seems to be softening a little towards him.
• Malcolm X traveled to Saudi Arabia but was arrested by customs for failing to prove he was Muslim. He ended up befriending a white Muslim named Dr. Azzam, who questioned his views on white people.
• Mayme was forced to resign as one of HARYOU’s executives after ADA Pike threatened to expose the organization’s ties to Bumpy’s activities.

The latest episode is due out on Sunday February 5th, on MGM+ (formerly EPIX) at 9 p.m. ET/PTand it airs weekly on the streaming platform.

• It looks like Bumpy will continue doing business with Battle, but any weird affair with the CIA will obviously complicate things. I suspect the CIA might expect Bumpy to do their bidding.
