Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto Launches This Summer – Casino Reports

Great Canadian Entertainment has released a major announcement that Canada’s largest casino resort is set to open in Summer 2023. The leading land-based casino operator announced that its brand new CA$1 billion entertainment resort will be branded as the Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto and will be located at the intersection of Highways 401 and 427.

Founded in 1982, CGE is one of Canada’s largest gaming and hospitality operators with over 25 gaming, entertainment and hospitality locations across the country. It operates facilities in Ontario, BC, New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. The Toronto project will open this summer with a 400-room hotel, a 5,000-seat live show venue, a new parking garage and more to complement it.

Start this summer

The Great Canadian Casino Resort Toronto will impress with innovative architecture and spread over 33 hectares of land. The new page will be in Proximity to Woodbine Racetrackand it will feature a premium Las Vegas-style casino, a 400-room hotel, a 5,000-seat live entertainment venue and multiple dining options, all bringing a breath of fresh air to Toronto.

In its press release, the gaming operator also said that its existing and ramping up Casino Woodbine will be in the area continue working without interruption until the new CA$1 billion resort debuts. The new property is set to officially open its doors sometime in the summer of 2023, and the gambling guide said there will be an official opening date in the coming weeks.

Matthew Anfinson, the operator’s CEO, shared that the company sees the project as an unprecedented opportunity for a debut a whole new experience in the country that brings together the best of gaming, live entertainment, food and accommodation. He added that the company will be announcing additional landmarks and a date for the Toronto property in the coming weeks.

In addition, GCE is popular Great Canadian rewards program, which debuted in Ontario in August 2022, will join the new property’s offering alongside the other casinos in the province. Its members receive the best rates when booking hotel stays at GCE resorts and also receive special discounts and perks such as free dollars redeemable at participating restaurants or game credits.

Expansion of offerings in Ontario

Great Canadian Entertainment recently opened a hotel to the public at his Pickering Casino Resort. The casino resort opened in July 2021 and its new hospitality portion offers over 275 premium guest rooms ranging from 388 square feet to 775 square feet. There are also 33 luxurious and spacious suites with separate living areas and 22 accessible rooms.

In the fall of 2022, the leading casino operator launched retail sports betting at 10 of its properties across Ontario. Six of its venues have launched the product through sports betting kioskswhile the others launched four special Great Canadian Sportsbooks. Shoreline Casino Peterborough was also one of the houses that presented the new offer to its many customers.
