Guardiola holds talks with Walker about alleged lightning

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola said on Friday he had spoken to Kyle Walker as the defender faces a police investigation over allegedly embarrassing himself in public.
Cheshire Police said in a statement on Wednesday that they were investigating the incident, which was reported to have happened at a bar in Wilmslow on Sunday.
Walker reported back for normal training on Tuesday after being given two days off by Pep Guardiola following Saturday’s 2-0 win over Newcastle. City are next up against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
“It’s a private matter,” Guardiola said at a press conference.
“We solve it internally and we talk to him. This is not the place to talk about private situations.”
The incident involving Walker, 32, was reported after a video circulated on social media.
When asked what advice he would give younger players, Guardiola replied: “They already know that if you open the door at home, you have to know that no matter what you do, you’re being filmed, it’s part of society.”
Meanwhile, Guardiola said defender Joao Cancelo’s situation would be reviewed at the end of the season. The full-back joined FC Bayern Munich on loan in January.
The Germany side have the option to make the move permanent but it has been reported that the 28-year-old will return to Etihad at the end of the season instead.
“Joao plays for Bayern Munich, I have no comments,” said Guardiola.
“It’s FC Bayern and at the end of the season there’s a review at the end of the season.”
