Haney vs. Lomachenko: Shakur Stevenson could be awaiting the winner in a huge boxing superfight

The 24-year-old will defend his WBC, WBA, IBF and WBO lightweight titles in Las Vegas in the early hours of Sunday in the biggest fight of his career.
“The Dream” (29-0) has enjoyed a meteoric rise since making his pro debut in 2015, unifying the division by defeating George Kambosos Jr. just over a year ago.
Then in October, Haney defended his titles against Kambosos Jr. and prepares for his toughest test yet.
Lomachenko has bounced back from his loss to Teofimo Lopez by winning his last three bouts and carries with him a legacy few in the sport can match.
While DuBoef stresses that Haney can’t ignore the Ukrainian, he believes it will be a delicious meeting with former unified super featherweight champion Stevenson.
“With Devin Haney he’s so tall, can he stay at 135lbs? Or will he jump to 140 pounds?
“So I think from a pure boxing perspective it’s a natural, natural fight to see Devin and Shakur.”
“It would have been like Mayweather and Mosley in their prime, which we didn’t understand.”

“We need to read the space a little better and decide to trade with the fighters instead of forcing something they don’t really want.”
Lomachenko weighed in at 136 pounds, while Haney weighed in at 134.9 pounds at Friday’s weigh-in.
