Haney vs Lomachenko: UK start time, ring walk, undercard, prediction, odds tonight

Arguably boxing’s busiest men’s division brings us an explosive showdown in the US, with significant impact on the landscape at 135lbs.
Haney has held the full set of lightweight titles after two successful trips to Australia last year, defeating George Kambosos Jr. on points both times, adding the WBA, IBF and WBO belts to the WBC title he has held 2019 holds.
There was talk of a possible fight with Gervonta “Tank” Davis later this year should the undefeated Haney extend his pro record to 30-0, or a future showdown with Shakur Stevenson, but an Lomachenko, who just won’t look by, will There Surely No Way was widely regarded as one of the best pound-on-pound fighters in the world a few years ago.
The 35-year-old has three wins since losing to Lopez, most recently a points win over Jamaine Ortiz in October last year after Lomachenko turned down a world title shot against Kambosos Jr in order to stay in Ukraine and join a territorial team Defense battalion after the invasion of Russia.
“I really want to beat him. I want to retire him,” Haney said ahead of this fight, possibly his last before going super lightweight. “Lomachenko has never been an outsider, this is the first time. This time he’s fighting a bigger guy, a stronger guy, a faster guy, a younger guy.”
Tensions rose at Friday’s ceremonial weigh-in when a furious Haney shoved a smiling Lomachenko during an intense final duel.

Haney vs Lomachenko Prediction
Unsurprisingly, Haney goes into this fight as the betting favorite, as his rematch victory over Kambosos Jr. was another 12-round championship in which he secured a high-points win. And everything points to another long night on Saturday.
The American’s last six wins have all been on points, with Haney often able to control fights with his jab. He will probably try to fight Lomachenko from a distance and make the rounds without taking too many risks.
Haney also has a scale advantage, a factor that has proven problematic for Lomachenko in the past. He was the smaller fighter against Lopez when he lost his WBA and WBO belts, and size remains an issue when he faces the best in the 135-pound class.
He’ll have to take risks to fight Haney and technically it promises to be a brilliant fight, but Lomachenko is likely to fall short in his bid for the undisputed crown.
Haney wins by unanimous decision.

“A twist in the plot…he was heavier than me,” Haney tweeted.
