Harry Kane on PSG: Tottenham star out of reach in summer amid cost cuts

Aris Saint-Germain is not expected to pursue his interest in Harry Kane this summer as the French club aim to drastically cut costs.
PSG were among European clubs fined by UEFA for financial fair play violations in September and will prioritize cost-cutting and revenue-boosting in the off-season to avoid further sanctions.
The Ligue 1 champions will release huge sums if they don’t renew Lionel Messi’s contract. He is believed to be worth around €40m (£35m) a year while Neymar’s future is uncertain.
PSG admire Kane, but even if Neymar follows Messi out of the club, they are unlikely to be able to target well-known and expensive players like the England captain in what is expected to be a controlled summer transfer window, where the focus will be on the transition.
Kane’s contract at Tottenham has only one year left but would still demand a hefty transfer fee this summer, although Spurs have no interest in selling their talisman.
If he doesn’t agree to a new contract, the 29-year-old could talk to foreign clubs in January and could leave Spurs for nothing at the end of next season. Both Manchester United and Bayern Munich are watching Kane’s situation.
