Heartstopper’s Sebastian Croft joins the Hogwarts legacy and makes a statement about JK Rowling after fans criticized his participation in the game

heart stopper star Sebastian Kroft reiterated his support for the LGBTQ+ community after fans criticized a role he’s taken on in the community Harry Potter Game Hogwarts Legacy.

It was announced earlier this week that the 21-year-old star is involved in the upcoming game.

Some fans were critical of the casting afterwards Sebastian starred in the LGBTQ+ series heart stopper on Netflix, especially due JK Rowling‘s anti-trans comments. He took to social media to make a heartfelt statement and explain how he ended up in the role.

“I was cast on this project over 3 years ago, back when everything was Harry Potter was for me the magical world I grew up with. That was long before I was aware of it JK Rowlingviews. I believe with all my heart that trans women are women and trans men are men.” Sebastian wrote on Twitter on Saturday (January 14).

“I know a lot more now than I did 3 years ago and I hope to learn a lot more in the next 3 years. I’m truly sorry for everyone who has been hurt by this announcement,” he continued.
