Bill Apter has offered his opinion on Tony Khan’s potential purchase of WWE. The AEW boss already owns the Jacksonville-based promotion Ring of Honor.
Talking about the latest edition of UnscriptedApter mentioned that the pro wrestling business has already seen some of the most amazing things.
Therefore, the chances of Khan buying the Stamford-based company could become a reality, especially given that he has the cash to make the purchase.
“They talk about amazing things that happened in this business, don’t say no, when the money happens to them, don’t say no. But would it be embarrassing for someone like Vince McMahon to lose his ego is a very important part of this whole thing,” said Bill Apter [11:45-12:06]

Bill Apter provided his opinion on Eric Bischoff’s purchase of WWE
Eric Bischoff is no stranger to working with Vince McMahon and against his company. The veteran was an executive producer and later senior vice president of WCW.
After WWE purchased WCW, Bischoff became the on-screen general manager of Monday Night RAW.
Talking about the same issue of Unscripted, Apter also mentioned that Bischoff might not be interested in working in a corporate entity and running the Stamford-based company. The Hall of Famer said:
“It would be interesting, but I don’t think he wants that. I think he’s past the point where he wants to deal with the whole business unit and run things. No, I think it would just be too much for him.”
Bischoff has appeared sporadically in WWE and is primarily focused on his own work and ventures. He is also the host of the 83-week podcast and provides his valuable opinions on various topics.
While Bischoff’s return isn’t totally off the charts, it seems pretty unlikely at the moment.
