Hotel guest slammed after he is filmed making unreasonable complaints to young staff member

A HOTEL guest was slammed online for making inappropriate requests to a staff member.

The visitor had booked a stay at the hotel for himself, his partner and the two children, but was annoyed with the room he was given.

The king suite had enough space for all his family members but he still seemed angry at the option he was given and quarreled with the young staff member who worked at the front desk.

She informed him that the room assigned to him was the only room available and that if he wanted to cancel the room, he could not stay at the hotel.

However, he didn’t understand and went on to argue that the room wasn’t good enough even though it had enough space for his family to sleep.

The woman who works at the front desk filmed the encounter and shared it on Tiktok (@localtumbleweed) for others to see.

The video begins with the man highlighting what he thinks the problem is.

He said: “We have two children and two adults, the reservation on our phone is clear what we have reserved.

“What do you expect from us?”

The employee pointed out that the room they booked had a king bed and a sofa bed for the kids to sleep on.

She offered to check him into the room but he insisted it was not suitable.

He continued: “We have two kids and we can’t all sleep on one king bed, that’s ridiculous. What do you expect from us?”

The woman pointed out that the only two options available were to use the room or cancel and go elsewhere, which the man was unhappy about.

He asked: “And then we should sleep in our car?”

At one point, an angry bystander tried to calm the situation by explaining to the man that his children could sleep on the fold-down sofa bed.

He said, “You have a king bed and a trundle bed … so you have two beds and four people.”

But the angry guest still didn’t seem to understand and told the other man it was none of his business and asked, “Why are you jumping in there?”

The woman attempts to end the encounter by telling the man that she would cancel the reservation, explaining that “there are many other hotels in the area”.

The video has been viewed more than 45 million times and received more than 219,000 comments, with no apparent support for the angry guest.

Instead, everyone is full of praise for the hotel staff and their handling of the situation.

One said: “You handled that SO WELL.”

Another wrote: “When people can’t take responsibility for their own poor planning, they take it out on the front desk. You are a queen the way you handled it.”

A third added: “A king and a trundle bed…how is that not enough for 4 people!? 2 in each bed!”

Even Santa’s official Tiktok account praised the woman and banged the man.

Saint Nick wrote: “Terrible behavior. Kindness matters. They handled it in a professional and friendly manner.”
