House Armed Forces leader takes demand straight to Pentagon after second bombshell containing Biden-secret documents released: report

Republicans in Congress are on the warpath after it was revealed a second batch of top secret documents is in the possession of President Joe Biden.

This second bombshell comes after an initial batch of classified documents was found at the Penn Biden Center, a think tank Biden founded in 2018.

After ABCthe latest documents were found somewhere other than the Washington office that Biden used after serving as vice president.

The number of documents, their level of classification and the exact location were not disclosed.

The White House and the Justice Department have so far remained silent on the matter.

Republican lawmakers have been quick to attack the President for irresponsible and potentially illegal activities.

Senator Josh Hawley in a tweet said two words: “Special Counsel”.

As Biden’s attorneys and aides try to get a full account of more classified material, House Republicans are already horning the Pentagon about the potential dangers of Biden’s improper record keeping.

Congressman Mike Rogers of Alabama, who chairs the Armed Services Committee, has sent a letter to military leaders to determine if Biden’s actions will result in “damage to national security,” as reported by FoxNews.

“I am writing to inquire if you have been contacted to cooperate with the investigation by US Attorney Lausch and/or are conducting an independent investigation based on your own agencies,” Rogers said.

He continued, saying it is “critical to assess whether potential national security damage, particularly to DOD stock, will result from improper storage, handling, or disclosure of classified information held in a closet at a nongovernmental facility such as the Biden Center.” .

US Attorney John Lausch is the man investigating possible “improper handling of classified information,” as Rogers puts it.

Lausch was also hired to investigate Hillary Clinton’s “improper handling” of classified documents in 2018.

Rogers’ letter was addressed directly to two specific Pentagon officials, Undersecretary for Intelligence and Security Ronald Moultrie and Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency director William Lietzau.

Rogers explained that these individuals were selected because their agencies “possess particular expertise in assessing intelligence and counterintelligence threats posed by individuals and insight into the proper means of dealing with classified material.”

Rogers pressed the Pentagon duo further in his letter, stating there was “a need to determine whether highly classified material found in the closet could have put Americans at risk if released to those who did not have the necessary authorization.” or have a need to know or be retrieved by individuals intending to commit wrongdoing or worse.”

“It is imperative that this committee be kept informed of the nature of the classified date when it affects the safety of service members, Department of Defense operations, or the protection of Department of Defense assets.”

The Alabama Republican has given Moultrie and Lietzau until Jan. 25 to respond to his questions and has pleaded with the Pentagon to fully cooperate with Lausch’s investigation into the matter.
