Meanwhile, on ITV3 in 2001, she is engaged to Danny Hargreaves but ex-husband Kevin is determined to win her back.

Who plays Sally Metcalfe on Coronation Street?
Beautifully played by Sally Dynevor, Sally has grown in all sorts of unexpected ways. At its most challenging, the character and actor simultaneously dealt with breast cancer in 2010.
Since Sally and Tim Metcalfe’s brilliant pairing, the extra string for both Sallys has been their effortless ability to move from drama to comedy.
One minute Sal can be crumbling in court over these shocking convictions, the next she’s coaching her fellow inmates in conversational Spanish. It was quite a ride…
When did Sally first arrive on Coronation Street?
Sally Seddon was originally scheduled to appear in only four episodes in 1986. It started with Kevin Webster accidentally drenching her with his van. 35 years later, she’s still doing well.
Back then, Kevin was Hilda Ogden’s lodger, so Sally managed to get her feet under the table at #13.
Hilda wasn’t a fan at first, but seeing how bad Sally’s personal life was, she relented as long as there were no weird affairs with Kevin.
From her early days, Sally wanted to climb the social ladder. Although she could come off as pushy, this was largely due to her own unstable childhood.
Does Sally have kids on Coronation Street?
Daughters Rosie and Sophie, born in 1990 and 1994, gave their mother sleepless nights.
The revelation that Rosie had accidentally become a drug mule after getting a modeling job left Sally in disbelief. As did Rosie, who was having an affair with her teacher, John Stape (whom Sally thought of).
When Sophie came out as gay to her mother and then tried to elope with her best mate Sian, Sally feared they would rush into things. When Sophie went out with Sally’s old school friend, Paula, she was even less impressed.
However, Sophie and Rosie stand by their mother. They helped hunt down their troll, Aunty Gina’s stepdaughter Leah. As Rosie put it, “No one makes a pitcher of Sally Metcalfe.”
Both are currently off-screen after actresses Helen Flangan (Rosie) and Brooke Vincent (Sophie) started families. Sally often talks about her girls. But will they ever go back to their mother?
How many times has Sally Metcalfe been married?
In fact, Sally has only been married four times to two different men!
Kevin Webster can claim to be Sally’s husband twice. He is the father of her children and there is still a strong bond between them.
They broke up after his affair with Natalie Horrocks and although she took him back for safety reasons for herself and the girls, she ended up having an affair with Greg Kelly.
He only used her for her money after she inherited £55,000 when her mother died.
But Sally happily moved in with him and they started a business together. However, when things didn’t go his way, Greg became violent and hit Sally.
When she finally left, he began stalking and threatening her. He was later arrested.
After Kevin divorced, Sally got engaged to Danny Hargreaves.
He had supported her through her stalking ordeal and a friendship eventually turned into a love story. They ran a shop together: D&S Hardware.
But on their wedding day, Sally confessed to having a one-night stand with Kevin a year earlier, and Danny ended things.
After a brief relationship with Martin Platt, Sally and Kevin married for financial reasons and to give the girls stability.
Sally cheated again with Ian Davenport in 2005, but Kevin pretended not to know.
It quickly became clear that Sally and Kevin were in love. However, his affair ended things for good.
Jack, Kevin’s Boy by Molly Dobbs (Vicky Binns) was just one betrayal too many and Sally and Kevin finally divorced.
Who is she married to now?
When window cleaner Tim Metcalfe showed up, he and Sally looked like a classic mismatch. She always tried to improve him, he just wanted a quiet life.
Lying bowmanipulator Duncan Radfield nearly shattered Tim’s trust in Sally, which was heartbreaking, but together they demonstrated one of Corrie’s greatest partnerships. Even Tim’s mean father, Geoff Metcalfe, couldn’t separate them.
There was a little bump in the road (one of many) when Sal found out Tim got married in Vegas and didn’t believe it was legal. The message meant that Sally and Tim weren’t actually connected.
But the couple put it behind them and actually got married in 2020.
However, things have slipped again lately.
After Tim found out he needed a triple heart bypass, he didn’t tell Sally and instead confided in his neighbor Aggie Bailey.
Sally was desperate that he couldn’t be honest with her and they almost broke up. They worked it out, but now Tim can’t perform in the bedroom.
He’s been looking at porn and Sally is devastated and fearful for her marriage once again. will they break up
Sally’s best friends
Sally hasn’t had that many great friends over the years. One of her best friends was Rita, who she took under her wing when Sally was pregnant with Sophie.
And her friendship with Gail has recently sent fans into hysterics.
One of the most unlikely pairings is Sally and Abi. Not every dude would get away with slapping you in the face, but Sally was immensely grateful to Abi when she did it in prison to buy her some time with her trial.
Sally was so grateful that she told Abi she could stay with them. Making Abi a pet little project wasn’t long before Sally was roleplaying with Tim for job interviews.
Ironically, Sal Prison has opened its doors. It meant she could even share prison anecdotes with Gail over a few drinks at The Rovers.
When was Sally on the council?
“Residence Metcalfe. Sally, the Mayor, speaks.” Sally has never been more excited (until things went wrong) than being elected Mayor of Weatherfield.
Before that, Sally’s main jobs were at Underworld. She was an office assistant in the days of Mike Baldwin and has been a machinist since her time in prison.
Sally enjoys playing works council and was the first to put down tools and lead her colleagues on strike when Carla tried to outsource her jobs to robots in Milton Keynes.
When did Sally go to Coronation Street Jail?
Coronation Street is used to its residents being sent down for crimes they didn’t commit.
However, Sally’s reaction in 2018, when the judge sentenced her to four years in prison, was one of the most devastating.
Sally was completely innocent and was accused of fraud by Duncan Radford. Even Tim had trouble believing that she wasn’t having an affair with Duncan.
But the truth eventually came out and Sal was released.
Prison nearly broke her. She was beaten up by drug dealer Marcia and thought Tim left her. But Sally Metcalfe fans know she’s made of sterner stuff.
Overcoming breast cancer and a minibus accident, Sally fell through the roof of Underworld.

Where is Sally’s sister Gina?
To think that Duncan framed her, jailed her, and nearly destroyed their marriage, you’d think he was Sally’s number one public enemy.
In fact, that honor goes to her sister Gina. This is Gina who helped send Sally downstairs and then tried to sleep with Tim while her sister was being spanked.
“We used to be like two mudlarks on a branch,” Gina said on the factory roof before Sally fell through.
“Go away and leave my family alone,” Sal said. You can hardly blame her.
Gina has indeed gone to new pastures, but the sisters were on reasonable terms when she left.
And Sally has since stayed with Gina after she broke her ankle and needed care.
What’s next for Sally?
Sally is really fed up with Tim “locking her out”. She suggests they take some time.
Tim tells Sally not to give up on her and tells Aggie about his fears. She urges him to share his worries with his wife, which he does.
Sally is pleased that he is being honest as he reveals that he is afraid of dying. She is thrilled when he starts reading a book about death because she thinks he is fighting his fears and taking responsibility.
However, he’s not honest, is he?
All of this is coming from Aggie and Sal has no idea.
How will she feel when she finds out? Will this be the end of their marriage?
Coronation Street normally airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7:30pm and 8:30pm on ITV.
