How old is Harvey Rogerson?

Leo Goskirk returned to Emmerdale screens last night and fans were thrilled to see him.

It’s been eight months since Leo appeared on the ITV soap and his comeback on Wednesday (3 August) had viewers all saying the same thing.

How grown up is he?!

Leo returns to Emmerdale

As Marlon and Rhona’s wedding drew near, Leo appeared in a small scene trying on his wedding outfit.

Looking dapper in a suit alongside sister April on screen, Leo turned to show off his attire.

Mama Rhona said to them: “You two look beautiful.”

Papa Marlon agreed, “Like two little angels.”

The happy moment was cut short when Vanessa and Mary got home and Rhona sent the kids upstairs to change.

Leo will be performing again at his mother and father’s wedding next week.

Actor Harvey Rogerson, who plays Leo, has a Twitter account run by his parents.

They posted a picture of Harvey in his suit.

After Leo’s performance and tweet, fans were quick to comment on how different he looks!

They couldn’t believe how grown up he is now.

“I was just thinking about how amazing and grown up he looks,” commented another.

How old is Leo in Emmerdale?

Harvey is 11 years old. He was born on February 12, 2011. Leo also just turned 11 – he was born on May 30, 2011.

Harvey has performed as Leo in Emmerdale since 2014.

The actor previously appeared on the soap opera as a guest at Leo’s birthday party when the little boy was played by Harry Whittaker.

He started filling in when Harry was too ill to film or away, and took over the role full-time when Harry tragically passed away.

Why is Leo absent from Emmerdale?

After filming halted in Emmerdale due to the coronavirus pandemic in 2020, Harvey halted filming along with the other cast members.

When Emmerdale resumed, the children were not recalled. This was because they needed escorts and with strict social distancing measures in place, they had to limit numbers on set.

Harvey filmed his first scenes on the soap in June 2021.

However, he hasn’t been seen on screen for months as children are still kept to a minimum on set.

Emmerdale normally airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
