Michael Chandler has reached out to fans on Twitter for asking inappropriate questions.
A fan once asked the former multiple Bellator MMA lightweight champion a naughty question on his Twitter page. Chandler didn’t like the question and replied that it was the kind of question a child would ask. ‘Iron’ added that the fan could do better.
Recently, a Twitter user (@UnderratedZ7) shared a screenshot of this exchange and wrote that he has since “hated” Michael Chandler.
Another fan with the username @badvibe20327273 replied to the thread and said that he is no longer a fan of “Iron”:
“@MikeChandlerMMA was cheering you on until I saw this…… Can’t believe Tony fell asleep from that guy smh.”
Chandler responded to both when he asked them to stop following his Twitter account. The 36-year-old also questioned her intellect:
“Cool… unfollowed… I can’t hear you anyway at that level of intelligence down there…”
Making inappropriate comments to celebrities has become a staple of social media culture. Famous fighters like Chandler are often subjected to these insults. So it’s understandable why the UFC lightweight wouldn’t mind losing a fan or two who don’t behave respectfully.
Michael Chandler is expected to face Dustin Poirier at UFC 281
Michael Chandler is expected to be part of the UFC 281 card at Madison Square Garden. “Iron” will likely take on Dustin Poirier for what could prove to be an all-time classic.
The duo had a heated altercation during UFC 276, with both men present to watch the fights. Given that they’re two of the best fighters in the UFC’s 155-pound division, putting them up against each other was a no-brainer.
The fight looks set to happen and five rounds could be scheduled for added excitement. Based on a recent cryptic tweet from The Diamond, fans could brace themselves for a planned 25 minutes of violence.
