And I thought I saw it all…
We’ve all seen people dress their pets in all sorts of nonsense, from soccer jerseys to sweaters to Halloween costumes and more.
However, I have never heard of shoes for horses in my life…
I mean, yeah… we’ve all seen horseshoes, but we’re talking about horses SHOES… like Nikes.
Yes, you heard that right.
Kentucky-based tourism agency VisitLEX has teamed up with local shoe artist Marcus Floyd to create a line of limited-edition horse sneakers called Horse Kicks.
The company is proud of itself as:
“The world’s first online retailer of custom equine sneakers.”
The line includes horse-friendly versions of Air Jordans and Yeezys (which I might revisit…) for around $1,200 a shoe. We’re talking nearly $5,000 for all four shoes.
Heck, they even have the Grass Cutter 5,000 New Balances.
Designer Marcus Floyd said:
“These are wearable artworks designed over a medical horse boot and covered with repurposed sneakers.”
Fall styles will be auctioned at next month’s Breeder’s Cup for anyone wanting the cute new hooves for horses, with proceeds going to charity.
I think the good news about these bad guys is that if you ever get kicked in the face by a horse, they should soften the blow…
