Idris Elba admits being named ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ was actually his toughest role!

Idris Elba was crowned People‘S The hottest man in the world just a few years ago in 2018.

The title, which recognizes the most attractive male celebrity of the year, was last passed to him Chris Evans for 2022.

While chatting with ET Canada, idris shared that the cover shoot was the easiest part of it all.

“I said to the photographer, ‘I don’t always shoot great pictures, this picture has to be great.’ [They’re like] ‘No no no. We’ve done it a million times, we know how to do it.” And I was like, ‘Okay, I’m just going to be me,'” he recalled.

idris continued, “Then they do something like this where they use your favorite camera angle for the cover.”

Later in the interview idris reveals that he’s still quite surprised he’s even recognized.

“I don’t assume everyone knows who I am, even though I’ve been acting for a long time. When I look in the mirror it’s just a guy who tried to be an actor. So when I walk into a restaurant in the middle of Belgium, I don’t expect everyone to recognize me.”
