I’m a flight attendant – why you should never wear headphones while waiting for boarding

A flight attendant has revealed why you should never wear headphones while waiting to board.
Expert CiCi says wearing earbuds while flying can be distracting and even pose a safety risk.
When passengers are distracted, they can collide with people, knock backpacks into fellow passengers, and attack those already seated.
she said insider: “When you play or listen to music on your phone, you cannot communicate with the people around you.
“And that’s where I see a big problem.”
CiCi documents travel tips she learned as a flight attendant on TikTok and Instagram at @cici.inthesky.
She says she is constantly bump into passengers who don’t pay attention.
Delays can also be caused by passengers staring at their phones in confusion because they don’t notice that a line has moved.
Other problems include forgetting to put your bag in the overhead compartment, further delaying the trip for everyone else.
CiCi says she has seen a huge increase in passengers plugging in headphones when boarding.
Many people use music or podcasts to combat fear of flying or to unwind on a long trip.
And while Cici acknowledges the stress-relieving benefits, she says removing the headsets during the boarding process would result in a happier cabin.
She said, “When you get on a plane, you are doing a task and you should focus on that task.”
