I’m an interior designer – the awful trends you need to ditch and yes…that includes disguises

IF you want your home to look and feel luxurious, you’ve come to the right place as two interior designers have revealed the trends you need to forego.
The home experts from Moirai Studio took to TikTok to reveal the stale trends they’re tired of seeing in people’s homes.
The interior designers explained: “Trends that have been around for a long time, but which we still somehow encounter.
“Stop it in 2023.”
The first trend that the professional world hates is slatted frames.
They explained: “Slats are no longer trendy. They are everywhere.
“I think when a designer doesn’t know what to do next, they use them.
“If you want an original, timeless interior, please don’t use them.
“Unless we’re using them to divide the layout, they don’t have absolute meaning, they’re just catching dust.
“In our studio, we think of slats as the least creative idea.
“If you hired a designer and they designed the louvers for you, they probably don’t have time for your project.”
The second thing the interior designers suggest is moss paintings.
They continued: “Their fame died three years ago, but designers are still using them.
“Also a very uncreative element that will make your interior an interior from 2019.
“If you already like moss, use it all over the wall to make it look very biophilic.”
Not only that, but when it comes to kitchens, according to these interior designers, the glossy look is out.
They added: “You should definitely go for matte elements, gloss is a trend of 2015.
“Even an element that is no longer trendy at all.
“It uses matte materials that look much better.”
Finally, and prepare to be attacked, because according to these interior designers, wallpaper is not trendy.
When discussing wallpaper, they simply said, “Really?
“Only definitely no!”
The video shocked many as it quickly went viral, racking up a whopping 2.7 million views.
It has 121.8k likes, 87 comments and 8,521 shares.
Many social media users were grateful for the tips and were happy to express this in the comments.
One person said: “I agree… especially the slats, they really are in every interior… I’m already fed up with them.”
Another added: “So true.”
A third commented: “COOL! Helpful tips.”
However, not everyone agreed with the tips.
One user remarked, “Or use what makes you happy.”

While someone else chimed in: “Do this: do what you want!!!!! Is your home, your castle!”
A third wrote: “Wallpaper doesn’t go out of style, it depends on how you use it.”
