The episode begins with Bell shooting a Firebolt at the Juggernaut before promising to kill him and bring Ryuu home. Meanwhile, Ryuu has a vision of the Astrea familyencourages her to wake up and help Bell.

After talking to her family again, Ryuu realizes that she wants to save Bell and tells her to wake up. Outside her lair, she hears Bell collide with the Juggernaut and quickly runs out to help him.

How do Bell and Ryuu defeat the Juggernaut?

Bell and Ryuu team up to take on the Juggernaut, each attacking from different angles. After a spike impales and captures Bell, he uses Argo Vesta to blow up the ground, temporarily knocking the monster off. This allows Bell to get up close and shoot a Firebolt under the Juggernaut’s armor while Ryuu hits him with Luminous Wind. Ryuu then used her previous knowledge of the Juggernaut’s abilities, combined with various tactics from her previous family members, to launch a series of attacks against him. When the monster is weakened, Ryuu can use Luvia, hitting the Juggernaut with a direct shot and blowing him up.

Will Bell and Ryuu be saved?

The Xenos search the 37th floor and cannot find Bell and Ryuu Vienna suddenly says that she can hear their voices. They rush to the location and find Bell and Ryuu passed out on the ground but still alive. As they offer help, the Xenos hear Bell’s group calling for them and decide to leave them to their human friends. They quickly disappear just before Bell’s group finds him and Ryuu rescues them.

What happened to Bell’s left arm?

Bell and Ryuu spend several days in the hospital recovering while all their friends visit them. On the day of her release, the two meet and spend the day together while Bell describes the injuries to his left arm. He explains that it was full of torn tissue and shattered bones that had to be rebuilt from scratch. Though it sounds awful, thanks to a healer and some magic, he’s regained full freedom of movement.

The episode ends with Ryuu thanking Bell for his help. Bell is happy to see her smile and tells her she looks beautiful, causing Ryuu to blush and run away.

I think what surprised me the most about the finale was that Bell’s friends and party didn’t save him and Ryuu, the pair saved themselves. It was an interesting choice, but it made so much sense considering how far their relationship has progressed over the course of the series. After everything they’d been through together, it was more fitting to see them triumph together than just waiting to be saved.

Compared to this season’s constant danger and action, I enjoyed the slower pace of the finale. It was sweet to see everyone coming to visit, and the moment between Bell and Ryuu at the end capped it all off nicely. It will be fun to see where this series goes next when it is renewed for a fifth season.
