ITV confirm Simon Cowell’s breach of the rules at BGT this weekend

Simon Cowell is set to smash the golden buzzer for the second time, despite already picking the act he wanted to send straight to the live semi-finals.

This appears to be influenced by Strictly star Bruno Tonioli after doing the same thing for a few weeks.

The new judge was pranked on arrival on the set of Britain’s Got Talent when duo Ant and Dec told him the wrong rules, causing confusion among the jury.

While the act for which Simon Cowell hits the golden buzzer hasn’t been announced yet, the TV personality can be seen tearing up the rulebook as he sends another player through to the semifinals.

The tip-off was made on the official BGT Twitter account in a post that read, “Wait… ANOTHER Golden Buzzer?! We just can’t keep up anymore!” revealed.

In the accompanying video, Simon Cowell can be heard saying, “Sometimes I feel like you should just break the rules…” which shocked Bruno.

BGT fans praise new series as some say show ‘has come to an end’

Fans took advantage of the comments to slam the show’s additional golden buzzer and new series.

One viewer said: “Saturday’s show… dear God. 2 decent acts in 90 minutes. Anything halfway decent gets a gold buzzer.”

Another added, “Maybe this show has had its day because it’s too script based,” while others complained about the overuse of golden buzzers.

One annoyed fan said: “So what are the actual rules with the golden buzzer?? Do they all have two golden buzzers now? This is all so damn confusing now!!”

While another said: “This is without a doubt #BGT’s worst series ever. It’s the biggest crap. It didn’t need to be a gold buzzer last, yes he could sing… but he wasn’t. “Something special.” ITV confirm Simon Cowell’s breach of the rules at BGT this weekend
