ITV Mamma Mia! I have a dream: Who is Leah from Redcar?
The series will see 14 of the country’s most talented musical theater contestants travel to Greece where they will compete for the lead roles of Sophie and Sky in the London West End production of Mamma Mia!
Each episode is hosted by Zoe Ball and each week the aspiring Sophies and Skys are put through their paces by four mega judges – comedian Alan Carr, singer Jessie Ware, Frozen musical favorite Samantha Barks and Glee star Amber Riley.
Contestants are tested in everything from singing and dancing to acting and chemistry.

They are all hoping to survive the eliminations and make it to the live final in eight weeks, where audiences will decide who wins the role of Sophie and Sky in the West End.
Who is Leah from the ITV series Mamma Mia!? I have a dream?
Leah is 20 years old and comes from Redcar in North Yorkshire. She is with Mamma Mia! grew up. and says it would be “a full-circle moment” to play the role of Sophie after the ITV show.
She added: “My inner child would scream! I would also like to play Sophie because she is very far from me as a person and the roles I would normally take on. That would be a challenge that I am fully up to!”
Leah said her musical theater journey so far has been “fun but hard.”
She explained: “I started at a local dance school, was there for a while but eventually it got really expensive so my mum took me with her.
“But not long after, we managed to find an affordable performing arts group and I attended them every week for a few years.
“I then went to college to study performing arts and met some of my best friends and now we are at university together.
“Then one day after work I was checking my email and found one about Mamma Mia! I Have A Dream audition. My first thought was that I wouldn’t get it, but then I thought why shouldn’t I try, and if not then at least I have some experience auditioning and now here I am, a second year musical theater student, at this one great show!”
Leah revealed that she was on Mamma Mia! “I Have A Dream” means “the whole world” to her.
“There are a lot of rejections in this industry and this was my first audition and luckily I got a yes,” she continued.
“This show gives me hope and makes me very grateful to work with incredible people and be part of the wonderful Mamma Mia!” family. This is also very educational for me as it is my first professional insight into the industry.”
