Keith McNally, Restaurateur and Instagram influencer, has turned on his sharp tongue james corden, the English prankster and host of ridesharing The Late Late Show with James Corden. Corden is no longer welcome at Spring Street staple Balthazar.
“I don’t often invite a client over [sic] Today I did Corden 86,” McNally wrote on Instagram. (vanity fair reached out to both Corden and McNally.)

what was the offense Supposedly a classic rude eating behavior. In McNally’s narrative, Corden, a “very gifted comedian but a tiny cretin of a man,” achieved the unworthy superlative of “the most abusive customer to my Balthazar servers since the restaurant opened 25 years ago.”
McNally offered two examples from Balthazar’s executive reports where the best celebrity gossip is hidden; he has been sharing such reports from his restaurants on instagram for a long time. In the first example, Corden ate at the restaurant in June and allegedly finished an appetizer with hair. The late-night host showed off the hair to “Manager G,” who apologized.
“Corden was extremely angry with G and said, ‘Bring us another round of drinks this second. And take care of all our drinks so far. That’s how I write [sic] any nasty reviews on Yelp or something,'” McNally wrote, citing the report.
And then he shared about a day in October when Corden and his wife were having brunch dinner outside at Balthazar and his wife ordered something called Egg Yolk Omelette:
The biggest mystery here, aside from why Corden is returning to Balthazar despite apparently having a bad experience there, is what an egg yolk omelet might be. I heard about an egg white omelet and wonder if McNally misquoted the manager’s report in his frustration. But if that’s the case, he’s done it twice. An egg yolk omelet without any Egg whites are a bit of a culinary impossibility and very objectionable in fact. I hope they’re enjoying the promo champagne glasses at home, because it seems that once you’re out of McNally’s good graces, you’re gone forever.
