Jane McDonald reflects on ‘difficult time’ as she thanks Twitter fans

Jane McDonald has admitted to her Twitter fans that she was “overwhelmed” by their support.

It’s been a tough few years for the Cruising With favorite after she lost partner Eddie Rothe to cancer in March 2021.

Since then, Jane has recovered, released a new album and toured.

And the support of the fans is not lost on the popular star.

Jane McDonald ‘overwhelmed’ by support

The singer reflected on a “difficult time” in a new post on Twitter today (4 Aug).

And she revealed the support she’s had from fans has been “overwhelming.”

Jane tweeted: “I had such a great time working on my latest album Let the Light In!

“Writing the new material at a difficult time for all of us in 2020, I was blown away by the amazing response the album received upon release!” she said.

Jane then shared her experiences with the pandemic on her website.

She said: “In early 2020, like everyone else, I was forced to quit and stay home.

“With that much time, I dusted off my piano and was inspired to write some songs for a new album.

“When it came time to record the album, I asked my own band, who happened to be free too!”

“The best album I’ve ever made”

Jane added: “The album has the same fantastic energy that anyone who has seen me live will have experienced.

“This is the best album I’ve ever recorded,” she concluded.

‘well deserved’

Fans of the singer were quick to comment on the post.

One offered even more support, saying: “I love this album. It’s my favorite.”

A second said they can’t wait to see Jane live on tour.

“Looking forward to seeing you in Southend in September,” they said.

“The feedback was well deserved! It’s your best album yet and stirs everyone’s emotions,” concluded another.
